A.Medical has installed the first veterinary magnetic resonance imaging in Latvia

Continuing successful cooperation with the Sensovet clinic, which started several years ago, the company “A.Medical” successfully implemented a complex project in Latvia, the delivery of Esaote Vet-MR Grande, the first magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment intended for veterinary medicine.

Despite the fact that the installation of the equipment took place in an office building, the “A.Medical” team successfully coped with all the challenges, and the clinic has been serving customers for several months, offering top-level diagnostics.

Dr Ozols, head of the Sensovet clinic, noted: “Until now, the nearest veterinary MRI offices were located in Lithuania and Estonia, but in Latvia, the investigation was carried out in cooperation with human medical institutions.”

Pet owners were forced to take the sick animals to neighbouring countries. However, transporting animals is not always feasible, and time often plays a crucial role, making the process of transporting sick animals to neighbouring countries quite complicated.

The doctor reveals that the purchase of equipment will significantly improve and facilitate the availability and the quality of examinations, as well as create an opportunity to perform such examinations that could not be performed in Latvia until now, for example, joint pathology examinations, as well as make it possible to diagnose all diseases related to the head and back the brain and the changes it causes. *

The Vet-MR Grande is Esaote’s flagship MRI scanner and is specially designed in collaboration with veterinarians to create an efficient solution for both large and small animal clients. Read more information about the device.

In cooperation with the manufacturer Esaote, we offer free online webinars in veterinary medicine. More information about the webinars is here.
